RECAP: February 2023 Session

The Nashville Chamber hosted another successful Intro Nashville program session earlier this month! Aimed at both newcomers and native Nashvillians to gain a behind-the-scenes look into our region, the Chamber’s Intro Nashville program included a treasure trove of information for residents of Middle Tennessee.

The program included three half days of programming that touched on all the unique characteristics of our region. The first day, titled “It” City?, explored our local economy by featuring leaders from a variety of key industries. Such industries included: music and entertainment, hospitality and tourism, real estate and development, and the manufacturing and finance industries. This day was graciously hosted by BentoLiving and Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee.

The second day, titled Athens of the South, started at Hastings Architecture, previously home to the Nashville Public Library. Participants talked about our region’s education continuum and workforce. This was followed by a stop at the newly opened One22One building to discuss state, regional, and metro government.

This was followed by day four, Find Your Rhythm in Music City. The participants met at the National Museum of African American Music to discuss our local culinary scene, community involvement and cultural diversity. The day closed with a quick walk to the Nashville Symphony to learn more about our region’s sports landscape.

The program concluded with a Closing Reception featuring Former Nashville Vice Mayor and current Criminal Court Clerk, Howard Gentry. Howard highlighted pivotal moments in Nashville’s history as he made mention of various landmarks that make our city special.

Registration is currently open for the program sessions in April and June. Participant acceptance is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
