What is the time commitment?
Intro Nashville is offered six times a year (December, February, April, June, August and October). Each session consists of four program days.
Who should participate in Intro Nashville?
A typical class will have participants ranging from newcomers to long-time residents. We encourage anyone interested in quickly learning how to actively engage in the region, navigate the intricacies of doing business in Nashville, and become more connected to the city should participate in Intro Nashville
What content is featured in the program?
Day 1: Orientation Includes introductions of the Chamber and the Intro Nashville program. This is also the first opportunity to network and connect with fellow participants.
Day 2: “It” City?: This day will focus on illustrating how Nashville was built on innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship by highlighting our region’s key industries.
Day 3: Athens of the South This day will explore the role of consolidated government and discuss big policy decisions that shaped our region. It will also highlight the breadth of educational options in the region, illustrate the importance of deep prosperity and explain the talent pipeline in Middle Tennessee.
Day 4: Find Your Rhythm in Music City + Closing Reception: This day will highlight Nashville’s creative spirit, cultural assets, and instill a commitment to community engagement. The Closing Reception features a keynote speaker who will share pivotal moments in Nashville's history and the unique characteristics of the region.
Where are sessions located?
Sessions are held in a variety of unique locations to acquaint class members with Nashville’s treasures.
How will I be able to develop relationships?
Field trips, tours, networking, outstanding speakers and plenty of opportunities to connect with area leaders are provided. In addition, you’ll stay connected to an invite-only alumni group.
How many participants are there each session?
Each session includes 35 participants. Classes are limited and fill up quickly.
What is the application process for Intro Nashville?
Intro Nashville is open to the public, and registration is available year-round. Class sizes are limited and acceptance is based on the date of application and receipt of the registration fee.
What is the investment cost of Intro Nashville?
The cost of the program is $750 for chamber members and $1,100 for non-members. This covers the cost of all materials, meals, parking, speakers, venues and membership access. Often companies will fund tuition from continuing education and professional development budgets.
What are the benefits of being a part of the Intro Nashville alumni association?
Alumni Association membership helps us create and maintain a pipeline of leaders to build a more leader-full Nashville. Alumni events help keep you engaged and provide opportunities to meet graduates from all programs sessions.
Alumni association membership is the most comprehensive way to continue participating in the gathering and networking garnered from this experience. We work to ensure a variety of unique programs and events are offered each year to help build skills, connect alumni and impact our community. Membership dues are a minimal cost to help build community leaders that will impact where we live, work and play.
