HISTORY

The creation of Intro Nashville began in 2019 to serve as a unique resource for the region's business community in an environment where recruitment and retention of talent are paramount. With the tremendous job and population growth the Nashville region has experienced over the past decade, this program was tailored toward professionals as a way for them to build their network, connect quickly with community leaders, and learn about the region's distinct characteristics. With insights from successful programs in communities such as Knoxville, Intro Nashville was in the development phase when the COVID-19 pandemic forced a change in course in the spring of 2020.

After several months of planning, the Chamber recognized that amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Nashville's population continued to grow, and business professionals still needed opportunities to connect with others. With this in mind, the Chamber launched Intro Nashville in a virtual format in December 2020 and hosted a session every month through June 2020.

The first in-person program session will occur in December 2021. The program will continue to be offered throughout the coming years to facilitate community engagement by highlighting key aspects of Nashville.
